📋 Description

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of residential and commercial property damage • Meet with insureds as the first point of contact • Explain coverage and estimate damages • Help policyholders through the claims process while providing Remarkable service • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims • Interact with parties who may express strong emotions or concerns • Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries and concerns • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000 • Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine claim validity and regulatory compliance • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits • Work from home and utilize a mobile office/vehicle for in-person appointments • Service the assigned territory and occasionally travel outside it to assist other territories • Work flexible schedules, overtime, and irregular hours as business needs require

🎯 Requirements

• Competitive candidates must demonstrate ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions • Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology • Ability to effectively interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for difficult or emotional conversations • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills • Proficiency using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims in the field and remotely • Physical agility for walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, stooping, lifting, carrying, unfolding, and climbing ladders • Ability to use appropriate equipment to traverse roofs at various heights and pitches • Ability to crawl in tight spaces • May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training • Valid driver's license required • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required as part of the pre-employment background check • Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, MVR checks, and background checks • Customer service experience preferred • Understanding of property insurance concepts preferred • Baseline knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and materials preferred • Familiarity with water mitigation principles and inspection processes preferred • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents preferred
