📋 Description

• Help optimize medication management so physicians can focus on patient care and support care coordination for assigned patient cohorts • Assist with fulfillment of patient orders so patients receive medications on time • Provide telephonic medication-management follow-up for assigned patients with chronic diseases • Coordinate medication delivery to patients • Facilitate patients' clinical needs with the Pharmacist • Manage patient orders through Pharmacist verification • Complete medication-management service tasks and documentation in Care Management programs • Access, input, and retrieve pharmacy-network information to maintain accurate records • Obtain refill authorizations from prescribers • Process and prepare third-party insurance claims • Maintain accurate patient/client profiles • Answer phones professionally and direct calls appropriately • Accept prescriptions for filling and ensure the PIC has required order data • Handle customer concerns and refer clinical issues to the Pharmacist • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Pharmacy technician license or pharmacy technician trainee license from the Texas State Board and state of residence • Strong communication and customer service skills • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends • Ability to read and transcribe pharmaceutical information • Ability to sit for long periods and stand intermittently • Must comply with HIPAA and applicable federal and state confidentiality laws • Must follow established procedures, rules, and regulations
