• Teach assigned chemistry courses in accordance with approved course syllabi and learning outcomes. • Prepare and deliver effective classroom and laboratory instruction. • Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student learning and progress. • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance. • Submit grades and required reports by established deadlines. • Ensure laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and best practices. • Maintain and secure laboratory equipment, chemicals, and instructional materials. • Provide timely feedback and academic support to students. • Utilize instructional technology and the College's learning management system. • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours as required by the department. • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and training as requested. • Support the College's mission, vision, and values. • Perform other duties as assigned.
• Master's degree in Chemistry; or Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry from a regionally accredited institution. • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and communicate complex scientific concepts. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Ability to use educational technology and learning management systems. • Previous college-level teaching experience (preferred). • Experience teaching chemistry laboratories (preferred). • Familiarity with community college students and diverse learning populations (preferred). • Experience with online and hybrid instruction (preferred).
