📋 Description

• Independently manage cases from intake through resolution • Develop and execute legal strategies based on factual investigation and legal analysis • Communicate substantively with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel • Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments • Appear at hearings and trials as necessary • Work across Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships • Collaborate with paralegals and centralized operations staff • Participate in onboarding, training, supervision, mentorship, and firm events

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school • Minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience • Active licensure in two or more of IN, NC, SC, VA; other active licensure considered • Strong written and oral advocacy skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team • High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability • Persistent, resourceful, and proactive problem-solving ability • Ability to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings and meetings, and other firm-sponsored events • Proficiency with Mac/Apple operating systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat • Experience with timekeeping and case management software • Proficiency with legal research applications • Cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references required
