📋 Description

• Independently manage cases from intake through resolution • Develop and execute legal strategies based on factual investigation and legal analysis • Communicate substantively with courts and administrative agencies, clients and financial institutions, and opposing counsel • Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments • Appear at hearings and trials as necessary • Work regular Monday–Friday business hours aligned to the respective U.S. time zone • Travel as required for hearings, proceedings, firm trainings, meetings, and firm-sponsored events • Collaborate with experienced paralegals and centralized operations staff in a fully remote practice model

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school • Minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience • Active licensure in two or more listed states, including active licensure in Iowa and at least one other state bar • States of preference include CA, CO, ID, KS, NC, NE, OR, SC, TX, VA, WA, WY • Prior experience in Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, or guardianships is preferred • Strong written and oral advocacy skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team • High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability • Persistent, resourceful, and proactive problem-solving ability • Ability to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings and meetings, and other firm-sponsored events • Proficiency with Mac/Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, timekeeping and case management software, and legal research applications • Cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references required for application
