📋 Description
• Operate filling equipment, cappers, labelers, sealers, and other related equipment to meet customer order-driven production schedules • Perform duties involving operating, repairing, and overhauling mechanical equipment • Supervise the operation of machines and equipment while prioritizing safety • Follow GMP, safety, regulatory, and Stratas Foods procedures and policies • Determine machine adjustments based on product specifications and material requirements • Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales, rules, or templates • Observe machine operation and detect product defects or machine malfunctions • Identify mechanical issues that could cause machine breakdowns or downtime and report them to the supervisor • Record downtime reasons in the CDC system • Stop and reset equipment during malfunctions, clear machine jams, and report impairments to the Production Supervisor • Perform periodic product sample weights to ensure proper fill weights and product quality and conformity • Replace and replenish product containers and packaging supplies, including film, laminate, and mount rolls • Complete documentation required for product quality assurance • Perform changeovers and minor machine maintenance and adjustments • Communicate with maintenance personnel regarding more substantial maintenance requirements • Assist mechanics with preventive maintenance and machine service or repairs following Lockout/Tagout procedures
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma • Experience operating in a fast-paced, ready-to-eat food facility is a plus • Ability to be self-guided and motivated to operate independently • Strong multi-tasking skills • Ability to work well under pressure • Must follow GMPs and safety guidelines • Must wear PPE and adhere to all safety rules • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights • Ability to hear, see, speak, smell, and touch well enough to perform essential tasks • Ability to follow proper Lockout/Tagout procedures
