• Oversee and manage the design, development, and execution of innovative mechanical engineering projects • Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, components, and subsystems • Develop detailed 3D models, CAD drawings, and prototypes for mechanical systems • Perform stress, thermal, and fluid flow analysis to validate designs and ensure performance, safety, and reliability • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical components • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting, providing corrective actions • Manage projects from concept and design through prototyping, testing, and final production • Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource plans • Track and report project progress while managing risks and changes • Coordinate internal teams and external partners across departments and stakeholders • Maintain engineering specifications, project plans, and progress reports • Lead and mentor mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians • Serve as the main point of contact between mechanical engineering and other departments • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and identify challenges • Lead design reviews and drive improvements based on feedback • Develop and implement testing protocols • Improve mechanical design, development, and testing processes • Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, ASTM, and safety regulations • Contribute to mechanical engineering and project management best practices • Report directly to the Director of Product
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and program management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role • Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing mechanical systems or products across multiple stages (concept, design, testing, production) • Strong background in mechanical design, CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and engineering analysis • Excellent program management skills, including the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and risks effectively • Strong leadership and team management experience, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and find innovative solutions • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including prototyping, CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, or similar) preferred • Experience in automotive, aerospace, consumer products, or industrial machinery preferred • Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) preferred • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred
