📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Focus on students’ individual needs as defined by each student’s IEP • Communicate with parents and related service staff to coordinate appropriate therapies • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and required special education documentation • Facilitate collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings • Provide accommodations and modifications using assistive technology, supplemental curriculum, and accessible text • Modify Stride K12 lessons and assessments according to IEP requirements • Ensure student inclusion and success in the general education classroom • Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals • Document parent contact and student interventions • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Maintain the grade book and academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active State Special Education teaching license • Six (6) months of student teaching experience • Ability to clear required background checks • Indiana residency required • Out-of-state teaching certification holders must obtain Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of employment • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Ability to travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or school requirements • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience with the proposed age group, online learning platforms, and/or virtual or brick-and-mortar teaching desired
