📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance focused on students’ individual needs as defined by each student’s IEP • Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure appropriate therapies • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and required special education documentation • Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings • Implement accommodations and modifications using assistive technology, supplemental curriculum, and accessible text • Modify lessons and assessments according to IEP requirements • Ensure inclusion and student success in the general education classroom • Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals • Document parent contacts and student interventions • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Maintain the grade book and make placement and promotion decisions • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Maintain positive rapport and communicate timely with students and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting • Collaborate with students, families, teachers, administrators, and related service staff

🎯 Requirements

• Indiana residency required • Bachelor's degree • Active State Special Education teaching license • Six (6) months of student teaching experience • Ability to clear required background check(s) • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is desired • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms is desired • Experience working with the proposed age group is desired • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology is desired • Experience teaching online and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment is desired • Experience with an online learning platform is desired
