📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning based on individual student needs • Monitor student progress through K12's learning management system • Work with students and parents to advance learning and develop post-secondary success plans • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to student performance and progress concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents in a timely manner • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues • Apply State, National, and Industry Specific learning standards • Develop instructional tools and strategies to supplement the curriculum • Collaborate with the school and national professional learning community • Administer and proctor certification assessments where applicable • Serve as an Advisor for a Career & Technical Student Organization • Support business and industry partnerships for work-based learning experiences • Support a project-based learning model • Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• North Carolina CRE Business Teaching Certification required • Out-of-state residents must have a North Carolina teaching certification • Residents must be in North Carolina or a border state within a 30-mile radius • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Ability to collaborate with other teachers • Experience with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology preferred • Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred
