📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Focus on students’ individual needs and monitor progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Alabama Computer Science Certification • Residency in Alabama • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children using technology • Experience teaching online/virtually and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Ability to collaborate with other teachers • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Receptiveness to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
