📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Focus on students’ individual needs and monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Florida 5 Year Professional 5-9 or 6-12 English Teaching Certificate • ESOL and Reading Endorsements • Florida residency requirement • Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children with technology preferred • Experience teaching in online/virtual or brick-and-mortar environments preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
