📋 Description

• Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for middle school English students • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Monitor student performance and progress and alert administrators to concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, school functions, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Appropriate state Department of Education Middle School (5-8) English Teaching Certification • If currently certified in another state, proof of New Mexico license application within 7 days of start date and an approved New Mexico teaching license within 90 days of start date • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Experience teaching online/virtually and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Commitment to working the school's typical schedule, such as 9-5 or 8-4
