📋 Description

• Deliver specific middle school English course content in an online environment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• English teaching certificate/license for Grades 4-8 or 7-12, with ESL Supplemental • Must reside in Texas • Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear the required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during the workday • Ability to work the school’s typical 9-5 or 8-4 schedule • Ability to collaborate with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours • Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Experience with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Experience teaching online/virtually and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms
