📋 Description

• Deliver specific physical education course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning for students and differentiate instruction based on mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Augment course content using approved online tools and school procedures • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and coaches • Travel approximately once per month and/or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, school functions, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• South Carolina Department of Education Physical Education Teaching Certification required • Must reside in South Carolina • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology preferred • Experience teaching online/virtual and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
