📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance • Manage the learning process and focus on students’ individual needs • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance student learning toward established goals • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning for all students • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using prescribed asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from the principal and coach • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required, averaging once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Florida 5 Year Professional 5-9 OR 6-12 Social Science Teaching Certificate • Residency in Florida • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school • Experience working with proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
