📋 Description

• Deliver specific high school science course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting • Collaborate with teachers to interpret student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, and school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Appropriate state Department of Education High School (6-12) Science Teaching Certification • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction • Ability to work instructional hours between 9–5 EST or 8–4, based on school needs • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and use student data to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C.
