📋 Description

• Provide expert clinical care for patients living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and related cognitive disorders. • Conduct virtual consultations, cognitive assessments, and diagnostic evaluations for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and related conditions. • Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans incorporating pharmacologic management, cognitive therapy recommendations, and supportive care strategies. • Oversee medication prescriptions, diagnostic test orders, and interpretation of results. • Collaborate with APPs, behavioral health clinicians, care coordinators, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize care continuity and quality outcomes. • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to review complex cases and contribute to clinical decision-making. • Stay current with emerging therapies, including anti-amyloid and disease-modifying treatments for dementia, and educate patients about these options. • Support caregiver engagement and education regarding disease progression, treatment plans, and available resources. • Document encounters accurately and promptly in the EHR in compliance with telehealth and regulatory standards. • Contribute to continuous improvement of cognitive care protocols using technology to streamline care delivery and enhance patient experience. • Ensure adherence to clinical standards and telehealth regulations.

🎯 Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution. • Completion of a residency in Neurology, with fellowship training in Behavioral/Cognitive Neurology or equivalent experience strongly preferred; or completion of a residency/fellowship in Geriatric Medicine with documented experience in amyloid-targeting therapies. • Board certification in Neurology (ABPN) or Geriatric Medicine required. • Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state; multi-state or IMLC eligibility preferred. • 3+ years of clinical experience managing patients with memory or cognitive disorders. • Demonstrated proficiency in telemedicine platforms and digital tools for conducting virtual neurological evaluations. • Strong clinical expertise in cognitive assessment, dementia management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. • Excellent communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions across virtual channels. • Commitment to patient-centered, empathetic care and continuous learning in neurodegenerative disease management. • Fellowship-trained in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology with substantial experience treating Alzheimer’s and dementia-related conditions preferred. • Prior experience collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a multi-state or telehealth environment preferred. • Familiarity with amyloid targeting therapies and other emerging therapies for Alzheimer’s disease preferred. • Experience within an integrated, interdisciplinary care model or value-based care environment preferred. • Synapticure is unable to provide work visa sponsorship.
