📋 Description

• Review contestable death claims • Evaluate causes of death and validate potential material misrepresentation in original health history or reinstatement underwriting • Evaluate life insurance policy reinstatement requests • Review medical questionnaires, examinations, laboratory work, and physician records for underwriting risk evaluation • Determine whether lapsed policies should be placed back in force • Use the Swiss Re manual for risk assessment • Run manual MIB checks for reinstatement requests and report MIB codes • Review and respond to Medical Information Bureau inquiries • Process claims and reinstatement inquiries routed from insurance carrier administrative offices • Work with secure email inquiries and multiple proprietary systems

🎯 Requirements

• Good product knowledge of life insurance and annuities • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to multitask • Logic and investigative mindset • Claims and/or underwriting background preferred • Ability to learn multiple proprietary systems quickly • Solid experience with MS Office products • At least 4 years of Life Insurance Claims experience • Works well independently or with minimal supervision • CLU, ALU, or LOMA certifications, courses, or designations are a plus • A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience • Experience with the Resonant underwriting platform is nice to have
