• Maintain monthly financial records • Verify patient insurance details • Ensure timely revenue processing • Process claims and provider invoices accurately and efficiently • Serve as a link between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers • Confirm patient coverage, eligibility for benefits and procedures, and policy limitations before services are rendered • Prepare and submit monthly basic charge-entry medical claims to insurance providers and government programs in electronic or paper format • Follow up on unpaid, delayed, or denied claims • Assist with appeals and resubmissions through resolution • Compile monthly reimbursement data and provide it to the medical provider via spreadsheet
• High school diploma or GED • Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy and data security • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Google Workspace • 1–2 years of medical billing experience • Experience with Epic, eClinicalWorks, or comparable medical billing software • Familiarity with medical terminology • Comfort with standard office equipment, including a 10-key calculator • CPB (AAPC) or CMRS (AMBA) certification
