📋 Description

• Receive, characterize, and analyze endpoint and network alerts from enterprise sources • Determine causes of alerts and identify anomalous activity and potential threats • Detect, identify, and alert on possible attacks, intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse • Distinguish security incidents and events from benign activities • Correlate events using information from multiple enterprise sources • Assess situational awareness and the effectiveness of observed attacks • Serve as an escalation point for SOC Analysts • Provide support and guidance to SOC Analysts • Work and track security incidents through final resolution • Create and maintain incident response processes, procedures, and blueprints • Document and maintain a knowledge base of incident methodologies and plans

🎯 Requirements

• Security certification required • Minimum 7 years in IT • 5 years in incident response • Security+, CEH, OSCP/OSCE, CISSP, CISA, or GIAC certifications listed as preferred • 5+ years of cybersecurity incident response experience • Excellent networking and security background, including intrusion detection/prevention • Excellent knowledge of IDS, IPS, EDR, SIEM, next-generation antivirus, and anomaly detection tools • Knowledge of cyber attack stages, including reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, gaining access, privilege escalation, maintaining access, network exploitation, and covering tracks • Excellent knowledge of the six phases in a cyber incident response plan • Broad knowledge of application and IT product diversity and interoperability • Extensive knowledge of IT security • Ability to configure and conduct vulnerability scans using VM tools such as Tenable.io and Tanium • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
