📋 Description

• Lead a specialized team of data professionals supporting business-practice improvements through data science • Manage the overall data scientist team or function, including Modelers and/or Data Scientists • Oversee development of data models, data mining, and analytical solutions • Lead innovation initiatives and business-as-usual operations across FCRM areas including customer rating, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, emerging risk, model performance monitoring, analytics, and reporting • Develop tools using technologies such as LLMs to improve complex-risk detection and process efficiency • Own stakeholder interactions and applicable model lifecycle activities • Hire talent, set goals, develop staff, manage performance and compensation decisions, and handle disciplinary actions • Provide strategic thought leadership, facilitate strategic discussions, and develop roadmaps and frameworks • Lead and direct Data Scientists, providing day-to-day direction, coaching, and development • Design and deliver enterprise analytic solutions and collaborate with business owners and cross-functional experts • Manage team workload and assign data requests based on skills and development needs • Develop test-and-learn programs, business plans, recommendations, and remediation plans • Identify risks, trends, opportunities, use cases, and value drivers; escalate issues as required • Ensure compliance with enterprise frameworks, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk-management policies • Lead cross-functional and enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject-matter expert • Build and retain an engaged, diverse, and high-performing team through inclusive leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Applicants must be either a US Citizen or have US Resident Green Card authorization • Must not require current or future TD work visa sponsorship • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred, such as math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science • Graduate degree preferred with progressive project work experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required; candidates with 5 years of highly relevant experience may also be considered • Experience leading data science, analytics, or innovation initiatives for enterprise-scale production solutions • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or equivalent programming languages • Experience in financial crimes, compliance risk analytics, model risk, or related risk-management domains • Strong understanding of large language models, machine learning, and quantitative risk analysis • Experience optimizing, testing, and tuning AML/CTF solutions • Experience developing dashboards, web applications, or other user-facing analytical tools • Proven experience managing teams and collaborating across cross-functional stakeholders • Ability to perform continuous sedentary work, multitask, operate standard office equipment, concentrate for long periods, read and comprehend instructions, and perform basic arithmetic • Occasional domestic travel required; no international travel
