📋 Description

• Schedule and register patient appointments and provide information for requests such as addresses, directions, phone numbers, operating hours, and department contacts • Process phone, fax, email, and other communication channel requests efficiently and accurately • Assist new members with introductions to and explanations of available services, processes, and provider availability • Update patients on referral or authorization status • Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls professionally • Schedule and cancel appointments for multiple providers • Follow phone scripts, clinical decision trees, scheduling criteria, and department guidelines • Determine appointment type and urgency within scope of knowledge and training • Schedule patients with appropriate providers or route calls to appropriate resources • Communicate complex exam preparation instructions, including pre-procedure laboratory requirements, to patients and ordering physicians' offices • Send accurate and complete communications to physicians and other healthcare providers

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent call center experience • Healthcare scheduling experience a plus • Must be able to work any 8 hour schedule between 8:00am - 6:00pm (EST)
