📋 Description

• Conduct virtual patient assessments, including medical history collection, physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of common illnesses and injuries • Develop and implement treatment plans with patients • Provide education and counseling on health promotion and disease prevention • Order and interpret laboratory work and imaging studies • Prescribe medications and therapies according to evidence-based guidelines • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans • Provide patient education and support • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals • Maintain accurate electronic health records • Stay current with healthcare technology, telemedicine practices, and professional guidelines • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and develop best practices in virtual primary care

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with either a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) • Active, unencumbered Board Certification by ANCC or AANP • Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care or family practice • No disciplinary actions within the last 5 years • Nurse Practitioner licensure in at least 3 states at time of interview • At least one Full Practice Authority (FPA) license and authorization to practice and prescribe independently without physician supervision or collaborative agreement • Willingness to be licensed in up to all 50 states • Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in states where the virtual primary care practice is based • Ability to work some evenings up to 9pm EST and some Saturdays • At least 1 year of experience in obesity medicine highly preferred • Minimum of 2 years of remote/hybrid independent virtual primary care experience highly desired • Bilingual English–Spanish fluency is a plus • Currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
