📋 Description

• Provide exceptional primary care virtually through video and telephone appointments • Work as part of a healthcare team within primary care standards of care • Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate • Remain accessible to the Care Team to solve problems and keep the patient panel well cared for • Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose conditions and propose treatment options • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, medications, and treatment regimens, including discussing potential side effects, allergies, and interactions • Advise patients on lifestyle and dietary changes • Meet or exceed clinical quality and patient care standards • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with federal and state health information privacy laws • Record complete, timely, and legible medical records • Attend meetings, one-to-one provider assessments, and other required meetings • Support the full range of Teladoc services, including medical second opinion, treatment decision support, behavioral health, and tele-dermatology • Support the Medical Director and product team in developing new products and services • Provide collaborative oversight of advanced practice providers as required

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality virtual care • History of strong clinical performance • Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer-based applications • Attention to detail and timely presentation to patient appointments • Multiple state medical licenses and willingness to become licensed in additional states as required and funded by the Company • Active NY and/or TX physician licensure highly desired • Letter of Qualification (LOQ) for obtaining additional state licenses highly desired • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a virtual setting • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and cultural sensitivity • Ability to adapt to evolving virtual care practices and innovative technologies • Dedication to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning • Experience in Obesity Medicine highly desired • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus • 5+ years post-residency experience as a Primary Care Physician in a clinical setting • ABMS board certification in primary care or related field from successful completion of a residency at an accredited healthcare institution in Family Medicine or IM/Peds • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited United States medical school • Minimum of 3 active, unrestricted State Medical Practitioner licenses • No disciplinary actions within the last 5 years • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) eligible • Must reside in the United States and not require sponsorship • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future • License certifications must be actively maintained
