📋 Description
• Provide 100% virtual medical nutrition therapy (MNT) via secure telehealth platform • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including dietary intake, lifestyle factors, and clinical history • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on provider diagnoses and evidence‑based guidelines • Support patients managing chronic and preventive health conditions, including: • Diabetes and prediabetes • Obesity and weight management • Cardiometabolic conditions (hypertension, dyslipidemia) • Gastrointestinal conditions • Endocrine‑related nutrition concerns (thyroid disease, PCOS, metabolic syndrome) • Deliver nutrition counseling, goal setting, and ongoing education to support sustainable behavior change • Review labs, clinical documentation, and care plans to guide treatment recommendations • Document all patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record (EMR) • Collaborate virtually with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical care teams • Adhere to telehealth best practices, HIPAA standards, and internal clinical protocols • Maintain active licensure and compliance with California regulations
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of clinical or outpatient nutrition experience • Prior telehealth or remote clinical experience preferred • Strong knowledge of evidence‑based medical nutrition therapy and chronic disease management • Comfortable delivering care exclusively in a virtual clinical environment • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient engagement skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote, multidisciplinary team • Proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth platforms • Reliable internet connection and private workspace suitable for telehealth visits • Bilingual a plus
