📋 Description

• Follow behavioral and educational guidelines set by the assigned behavioral clinician and BSS team • Assist with data collection, observation, report preparation, protocols, and behavior plans • Implement behavior plans under the direction of behavioral clinicians and professional staff • Provide feedback on clinical and environmental barriers to implementation • Assist with training caregivers in behavioral interventions and techniques • Provide behavioral support services in day programs, residential programs, foster care, family settings, respite sites, and other assigned locations • Maintain accurate behavioral data and records • Follow MA Waiver billing timelines and complete accurate database notes • Assist with community integration recommendations • Help fill open behavioral respite shifts • Conduct follow-up visits and document observations for the behavioral clinician • Complete in-service requirements and renewal schedules • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team • Apply non-aversive behavior management techniques, including physical restraints and carries • Restrain or hold clients as needed during behavioral management • Work varied and flexible hours and participate in rotating on-call shifts • Attend supervision, treatment team meetings, agency meetings, training, and activities • Maintain interdepartmental communication and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services and at least 2 years of full-time related experience, OR high school diploma and 4 years of full-time professional experience in developmental disabilities • At least 1 year of experience directly implementing formal behavior plans with individuals presenting challenging behaviors and behavioral crisis • Completed or willingness to complete 40-hour behavioral technician training within 90 days of employment • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Good command of English, oral and written • Ability to plan, organize, maintain workflow, and manage varied priorities • Ability to work professionally with consultants, provider agencies, families, and the public • Ability to work remotely 40 hours per week while performing and documenting responsibilities • Ability to work with behaviorally challenged individuals • Ability to walk and lift over 50 pounds; job duties may require lifting up to 50 pounds • Ability to maintain varied postures, including kneeling, sitting on the floor, running, and lifting • Ability to maintain high energy and a calm demeanor during therapeutic interventions • Successful background check required
