• Identify, frame, validate, and prioritize AI opportunities with potential for significant enterprise revenue and margin growth • Advise company leadership on which opportunities to pursue, how to approach them, and what to initiate, accelerate, or stop • Partner with enterprise, SBU, finance, operations, clinical, and pharmacy leaders to identify high-value business problems • Frame opportunities in terms of customers or clinicians served, value, risk, success conditions, and required investment • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user and market research to validate opportunities • Distinguish problems where AI offers non-linear advantages and decompose leverage points using first principles • Translate enterprise and SBU challenges into measurable financial, outcome, and experiential opportunities • Recommend whether to proceed, sequence, partner, or stop • Rank opportunities by strategic alignment, value, feasibility, risk, cost, and speed to value • Develop business cases, investment theses, value realization models, and roadmaps • Assess buy, build, partner, and hybrid paths and identify duplicate investments • Explore venture investment, incubation, and M&A routes with relevant colleagues • Define success metrics and measurement instrumentation before work is staffed • Revisit the AI portfolio and retire or reframe work that is not earning further investment • Establish stage-gates and evidence expectations for concept, pilot, and broader adoption decisions • Identify workflow, operating-model, and organizational changes required for value realization • Use live-work results to refine future enterprise funding decisions • Partner with DD&AI program and technology functions on portfolio tracking and value reporting • Align recommendations with clinical realities, regulatory context, and member or provider impact • Partner with legal, compliance, privacy, information security, governance, and model risk management • Apply Responsible AI principles including transparency, fairness, privacy, reliability, human oversight, and accountability • Recommend where AI should automate, assist, recommend, or escalate, while naming accountable humans • Advise business, clinical, product, and operations leaders using rigorous analyses and data • Communicate recommendations through business narratives, decision frameworks, and financial or outcome models • Align stakeholders with competing priorities and variable AI fluency • Represent AI Strategy in intake, planning, and investment conversations • Mentor colleagues on problem-framing quality
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Typically 8+ years in strategy, product strategy, management consulting, business operations, finance, digital transformation, or a related field inside a large or regulated enterprise • Demonstrated experience framing business problems, writing investment cases, and helping leaders make fund, sequence, or stop decisions • Ability to evaluate value, adoption risk, implementation complexity, and total cost of ownership at a decision-quality level, in partnership with technology counterparts • Working literacy in current AI capabilities and limitations • Knowledge of what it takes to build great products, including appreciation of user needs and experience expectations • Experience operating in a matrix with competing stakeholders and incomplete information • Clear written and verbal communication with senior business leaders, with ability to make recommendations • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload when working from home • Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred • Healthcare payer, provider, pharmacy, clinical, benefits, or healthcare services experience preferred • Familiarity with clinical workflows, claims, utilization management, prior authorization, care management, provider operations, or member engagement preferred • Deep expertise in leveraging AI to solve problems at a root cause level preferred • Responsible AI, privacy, or regulatory experience preferred • Innovation or digital portfolio management/advisory experience preferred • Experience partnering with product, technology, and delivery teams without owning their work preferred
