THE DEVELOPMENTAL ADVANTAGE, LLC is a Charleston, West Virginia-based clinic that provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, CSED waiver in-home services, and school-based special education supports for children with developmental disabilities and behavioral needs. Founded and led by Cathy Jo Higgins, the organization staffs BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, and in-home therapists to deliver assessments, family training, individualized treatment plans, and community-based services. The clinic holds Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) accreditation and focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based services to families across the region.

📋 Description

• Provides mental health services to children and training for their families in their homes. • Acts as a member of a treatment team and gives feedback on client progress. • Provides treatment as directed by the treatment plan and more often as necessary. • Travel (possibly to multiple counties in a service area) and be able to work in homes of families that are served. • Responsible for meeting performance expectations including contract requirements, timelines, regulations and laws. • Provides direct services per program state, and contract guidelines. • Ensures services are in compliance with all regulatory standards and contract terms and conditions. • Completes all required paperwork and follows agency policies and procedures within timelines, to ensure smooth paperwork flow. • Acquires and develops resources to meet identified needs of clients and staff. • Obtain CEUs as required by licensure and maintain all licensure requirements. • Attend weekly virtual team meeting with the Director

🎯 Requirements

• Masters Degree in a Human Services field. • Licensed as one of the following: licensed psychologist (LP), licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed graduate social worker (LGSW), licensed independent social worker (LICSW), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) • 1 year Documented experience in trauma-informed care and using generally accepted practice of therapies recognized by national accrediting bodies for psychology, psychiatry, counseling, and social work. • Must have a valid driver's license and transportation • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs • A commitment to working with youth and families • Must be able to collaborate closely with a team of family members and professionals to develop and implement individual plans of care
