📋 Description

• Support and maintain mainframe z/OS storage environments • Perform storage configuration changes through ServiceNow change management processes • Manage storage allocation, monitoring, utilization, and backup/recovery activities • Support and enhance disaster recovery strategies and processes • Administer and support DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS, DFSMSrmm, FDR, and GDPS environments • Support IBM DS8000 and TS7700 storage systems • Utilize and support JCL and ISPF utilities • Support DB2 SLB (HSM Fast Replication backup) processes • Leverage storage tools including IBM Tivoli Advanced Allocation Manager, IBM Advanced Catalog Management, and DFSMS Advanced Allocation Manager • Monitor storage environments using tools such as CA Vantage or IBM Omegamon XE • Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours change windows

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 10+ years of experience in mainframe z/OS storage administration • Strong experience with IBM DS8000 and TS7700 storage environments • Hands-on expertise with DFSMS, DFHSM, FDR, GDPS (Metro/Global Mirror, HyperSwap) • Experience with storage allocation, monitoring, Flash Copy, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery • Proficiency with JCL and ISPF utilities • Experience with change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow) • Ability to support on-call rotations and off-hours change windows • Self-starter with strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
