📋 Description

• Design payroll and team management experiences for Toast • Deliver intuitive solutions for complex payroll customer needs • Help build payroll and team management functionality for managers and employees • Collaborate centrally with designers, product managers, and engineers • Shape agentic payroll experiences that anticipate customer needs and guide decisions • Design business and employee onboarding experiences • Prepare customers for payroll and help identify and resolve issues • Design workflows for reviewing shifts, time, and labor costs before payroll processing • Help customers understand payroll reports, taxes, deductions, and payments • Design accurate payroll processing and compliance experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience delivering designs grounded in a design system • Ability to process feedback, improve UI usability, and collaborate with triad partners and design team members • Experience leveraging AI tools in the product design process and judging useful AI integration versus hype • Solid understanding of UX principles and best practices for web and native mobile applications • Strong grasp of platform-specific UX and UI patterns • Good communication skills and proactive sharing of work early and often • Proficiency in design software, preferably Figma • Ability to maintain clean design files and deliver pixel-perfect final UI designs for handoff • Ability to take feedback constructively and pivot quickly • Strong user empathy and ability to understand users • Familiarity with corporate design systems and appropriate application of them • Willingness to engage directly with customers for feedback and ideas • Strong portfolio • No educational credential specified
