• Schedule imaging exams and complete pre-registration processes via phone in a professional and courteous manner • Confirm all supporting documentation is received prior to appointments, including orders, lab work, prior imaging, chart notes, authorizations, and interpreter arrangements • Review scheduled exams and coordinate with technologists to ensure readiness • Manage digital medical records and appointment workflows using RIS, PACS, EMR, and related systems • Adjust schedules and manage waitlists to optimize efficiency • Maintain HIPAA compliance and support document handling protocols
• High school diploma or GED required • Minimum of 3 years of medical office experience • Completion of a medical terminology course or equivalent experience • Working knowledge of radiology scheduling, procedures, and insurance requirements • Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills • Experience using electronic health systems and scheduling software
