• Participate in a 12-week summer internship developing technical, business, leadership, and communication skills • Explore a Construction Project Management career focused on energy-efficient building solutions • Work on all aspects of construction projects and support project execution alongside a Project Manager • Plan and coordinate assigned projects • Establish schedules, project parameters, procedures, tasks, estimates, dependencies, milestones, CPM analyses, and histogram analyses • Support engineering programming and material selection activities with the engineering team • Establish and maintain operations budgets • Revise estimates based on validated project scope and monitor forecasted cost at completion • Manage project expenses • Prepare subcontractor requests for quotations, including scope statements, plans, milestone dates, specifications, bonding requirements, and billing schedules of values • Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals • Help supervise assigned project staff, subcontractors, and installers • Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, owners, and team members regarding project scope, budgets, performance, close-out, problems, obstacles, issues, and information needs • Collaborate with peers across North America
• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the entire summer internship • Preferred degree in Construction Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, HVAC, Engineering, or equivalent degree • Completed at least sophomore or 2nd year before the start of the summer internship • Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods • Coursework or projects in construction or building systems, involvement in construction-focused groups, or related work or volunteering exposure • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future • Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months • Ability to provide proof of insurance • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years • Safety-sensitive role may require additional drug screening
