📋 Description

• Design, deliver, and administer specialized training in life, annuity, and health underwriting • Cover analysis techniques, risk assessment, modeling, and tools and technology used to interpret and apply criteria for accurate risk assessments • Implement career development and engagement programs to improve the employee experience • Apply best practices in curriculum design and delivery to department staff and stakeholders • Develop clear and measurable learning criteria for different levels of underwriting knowledge and technical expertise • Keep current on regulatory rules, product offerings, and technology advances • Share insights through group and individual training • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify gaps • Collaborate with management to enhance the learning experience • Assess team needs and create opportunities for career development and employee engagement • Participate in cross-functional projects and programs requiring collaboration with Underwriting

🎯 Requirements

• Six years of underwriting experience in the insurance/financial services industry • Skilled in underwriting training or project/process management in a corporate environment • Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills • Ability to communicate technical information in a learning environment • Strong documentation and writing/editing skills • Creative thinker and collaborator to design engaging learning and development programs • Proficiency using MS Office • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred • FLMI, FALU, or CLU certification preferred
