📋 Description

• Prepare, edit, and submit account billing and claims according to payer and insurance guidelines • Ensure claim issues are resolved and claims are submitted accurately and promptly • Verify patient insurance eligibility • Submit system payer and fee schedule changes to the supervisor when required • Submit all required claim documentation • Update patient demographic changes and perform required rebilling • Request missing documentation from clients, physicians, or patients • Access client files to verify information when necessary • Respond to verbal and written insurance or responsible-party inquiries about account status • Research accounts and document follow-up • Resolve account discrepancies and prepare adjustments and refunds for approval • Maintain complete and accurate billing activity records and system documentation • Address problems and advise the supervisor of area or compliance issues • Complete reports according to schedule • Perform other assigned tasks supporting organizational goals

🎯 Requirements

• High School or better • 1-2 years of Medical Billing Experience • Microsoft Office • Typing skills; minimum 35 wpm • Claims processing • Computer skills • Time management • Ability to identify and resolve problems • Analysis skills • Ability to work independently • For remote work: high-speed internet, hard-wired connection to router, and internet speed of at least 20 megabits (Mbit) • Located within 50 miles of Sparks/Hunt Valley, MD; Carrollton, TX; Horsham, PA; Columbus, OH; or Clearwater, FL for technical support
