• Conduct environmental due diligence work on telecommunications and commercial real estate projects, primarily Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II ESAs, NEPA Review Reports and other environmental assessment services • Conduct site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties • Review historical records, environmental and regulatory databases, government records, regulatory agency files, topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories and aerial photographs • Interpret compiled information and draft standardized reports in accordance with ASTM E-1527-21 (AAI) • Conduct preliminary screenings for threatened or endangered species, critical habitat, National Wetland Inventory Maps, FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps and related environmental considerations • Correspond with Tribal, federal, state and local agencies in accordance with FCC Rules Title 47 CFR Part 1, Subpart I, sections 1.1301–1.1319 • Prepare template NEPA reports • Travel to project locations and take detailed notes and photographs of sites 2–4 days per week • Conduct interviews and regulatory agency file reviews • Perform QA/QC, complete requested revisions and submit reports within pre-established timelines • Collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media, including soil, groundwater and soil vapor, and/or indoor air • Compare analytical contaminant data with applicable regulatory standards
• 0-2 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on telecommunications and commercial real estate projects • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields • Attention to detail • Strong work ethic • Valid driver's license • Ability to conduct field work • Ability and willingness to travel • Good computer skills • Independent worker • Commitment to excellence • Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint • Phase I Assessments (ASTM E1527) • Phase II Assessments (ASTM E1903) • Preferred: NEPA/Section 106 Assessments • Preferred: 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification • Preferred: Mold assessment/indoor air quality (IAQ) experience • Preferred: Licensed Asbestos/Lead-based paint Inspector • Preferred: Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528) • Preferred: Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018) • Preferred: Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6) • Preferred: Environmental Professional (EP) • Preferred: Wetland Delineations • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, education verification, employment verification and drug test; credit and motor vehicle record checks may also apply depending on the position
