📋 Description

• Research, collect and analyze information to identify opportunities and develop solutions • Collaborate on performance improvement activities related to program efficiency and patient experience • Distribute analytical reports • Utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports and develop educational materials • Research and compile information for ad-hoc operational projects and initiatives • Synthesize and analyze data, provide detailed summaries and graphical presentations illustrating trends, and recommend practical solutions • Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI and impacts • Ensure accurate CPT and/or ICD-10 documentation for patient billing • Educate colleagues and providers on accurately documenting services and using appropriate codes • Maintain charge capture process documentation and review process adherence • Identify missing charges and coordinate with stakeholders on system changes and upgrades • Oversee charge reconciliation processes for assigned departments, including daily and monthly reconciliations • Provide guidance to clinical departmental reconciliation processes, including supply and implant charge capture • Identify duplicate charges and communicate documentation or charge deficiencies and errors • Perform charge entry/capture, charge approvals and quality charge reviews, including modifiers and clinical documentation checks • Review quality reports for missing, duplicate and late charges • Maintain reference logs and reporting tools and present information for decision-making • Support denial-related charge reviews through clinical documentation analysis, root cause analysis and education

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of relevant work experience in a hospital and/or Physician Practice environment • Experience in revenue cycle, billing, coding and/or patient financial services • Experience working with current medical terminology, data entry, supply chain processes, hospital and/or Medical Group practice operations • Experience with hospital and/or Physician group practice revenue cycle front-end functions such as patient registration • Knowledge of billing and regulatory guidelines related to charging and other revenue cycle processes • Ability to assist clinical departments and/or physician practices with changes to charging practices based on guidelines • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, AAPC or other coding credentials and/or Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure preferred • CHC certification preferred • CHRI certification/membership strongly preferred • Ability to use computers and other technology • Ability to maintain confidentiality, safety and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures
