📋 Description
• Perform coding quality reviews to ensure accurate coding • Develop coder education based on quality review results • Serve as a subject matter expert in coding and compliance • Assist with denials management and complex case resolution • Provide coder support and training
🎯 Requirements
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology • At least five (5) years of current hospital-based coding experience • Certification as CCS, RHIA, RHIT, COC, or CPC • Analytical ability to resolve coding issues • Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently • Experience with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding systems • Expertise with 3M HDM encoders and reporting tools • Working knowledge of Epic EMR preferred • Knowledge of Medical Necessity review guidelines
