📋 Description

• Responsible for scheduling and pre-registering patients for outpatient radiology exams • Verifying insurance eligibility and identifying patient financial responsibility • Analyzing patient insurance(s) and selecting the appropriate insurance plan • Collecting insurance referrals and documenting within HIS • Communicating with patients and physician/offices regarding authorization/referral requirements • Initiating payment plans and obtaining payment • Incorporating point of service (POS) collection processes into daily functions

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • Two (2) to Five (5) years experience in scheduling, financial clearance, or patient access • National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire • Proficient in Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems & related software systems • Comprehensive knowledge of scheduling and insurance verification processes • Strong knowledge of third-party & government payer billing & reimbursement guidelines
