📋 Description

• Review and analyze docketing requests and associated documents; calculate critical dates and deadlines • Learn and apply court rules and procedures across several jurisdictions • Research dates to supplement automated calculations • Update docket entries and review work product for quality control • Generate and distribute general and customized docket reports • Proofread and review calendar entries for accuracy • Communicate docketing policies and procedures to support staff and lawyers • Address docketing problems and concerns with relevant team members • Monitor assigned docketing inboxes and coordinate with case team members • Provide ongoing information and support regarding docketing policies and processes • Maintain current knowledge of Federal, State, and local rules and civil procedure

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate or experience/education equivalent required • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in docketing • Experience computing deadlines for state, federal and appellate courts and in various agencies across jurisdictions • Experience with rules-based calendar software like Milana, Compulaw, or e-Dockets preferred • Wide-ranging familiarity with litigation processes, court rules, and procedures • Ability to research, analyze and summarize issues in writing • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make sound judgments • Ability to work independently in a high volume, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines • Ability to self-manage and work independently in a remote, hybrid, or in-office setting • Effective oral and written communication skills
