📋 Description

• Develop the company's family of hardware products from concept through production • Sketch, model, prototype, refine, and detail hardware designs • Collaborate with hardware engineering on packaging, thermal, structural, and harness-routing compromises • Create physical prototypes quickly through printing and mockups • Produce renders, animations, and drawings for executives, customers, and manufacturing partners • Apply strong design and artistic vision across products • Work directly with design leadership and hardware engineers on the early hardware design team • Take ownership of design problems and see them through in a lean, hands-on team

🎯 Requirements

• Amazing portfolio of hardware designed, including sketches and the design process • Strong surfacing and CAD skills • Comfort working from and back into engineering CAD • Practical manufacturing knowledge: machining, sheet metal, additive manufacturing, molding, coatings, and finishes • Experience or background in consumer, automotive, aerospace, robotics, medical, or industrial equipment • Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, or Cinema 4D familiarity is a plus; mastery of an individual toolset is valued more • Active security clearance is a bonus, not a requirement • Must be located near Long Beach, California or Denver, Colorado, or be eligible to work remotely within the United States • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations for ITAR compliance
