📋 Description

• Maintain the budget and forecasting system and related database, including loading and auditing data • Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management reports using budget, general ledger, and patient billing systems • Develop financial analyses for new business proposals, service line expansion, and business planning • Perform profitability analyses to support operational and management decisions • Interpret and present financial information to senior leaders and department managers • Report key volume statistics and system metrics • Oversee, train, and mentor junior team members in budget and planning functions • Train budget system users on budget entry and reporting functionality • Lead system improvements and implementation of new technology • Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects • Support financial analyses for programs, including compensation and productivity benchmarking, revenue and expense forecasting, staffing analyses, pro forma, and ROI analyses • Document workflows and processes for standardization and improvement • Provide accounting support, including general ledger postings and reconciliations • Generate monthly actual-to-budget variance analyses with Accounting • Maintain general ledger reports, update accounts and cost centers, and create and test custom reports • Assist with the five-year financial plan and Decision Support System while ensuring data integrity

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • Three (3) years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis • Knowledge of hospital financial analyses and decision support systems • Knowledge of statistical and analytic software modes (Tsi, Access, Excel, AMS) • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Familiarity with databases, including MS Access • Familiarity with Meditech systems • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, writing, presentation, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and coordinate across disciplines and departments • Ability to maintain sensitivity, confidentiality, and tactfulness • Ability to apply financial management concepts and methodologies to projects
