📋 Description
• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design • Support client land acquisitions • Deliver and present updated cost plans at design milestones • Review design changes and new technologies and prepare estimates • Provide commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering • Prepare cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare estimates and cost plans • Analyze labor markets and cost drivers, including unions and tax • Support clients with monthly presentations • Deliver life cycle costing models • Integrate benchmarking for accurate data capture • Provide estimating support across life science sector projects and programmes • Prepare benchmarking reports and develop appropriate data • Measure and estimate projects from first principles across all design stages • Measure using CSI MasterFormat • Review third-party estimates for market alignment and report findings • Prepare estimates for project change orders and review EPCM submissions • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a construction-related field • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience • Experience in construction cost management, such as estimating, cost engineering, project engineering, or project cost controls • Experience supporting program-level cost management for medium- or large-scale construction projects • Strong foundation in cost and estimating • Construction industry technical knowledge, including value management and value engineering • Strong communication skills • Ability to work in a client-facing role • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D facilities • Experience with CGMP facilities • Experience measuring using CSI MasterFormat • Experience with measurement software • CostX experience preferred but not essential • AACE membership or equivalent preferred but not essential
