• Lead detailed electrical cost estimates for hyperscale data center projects • Oversee electrical quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models • Develop, validate, and challenge labor, material, and equipment pricing models • Maintain historical cost data, benchmarks, and estimating standards • Review and normalize electrical contractor and subcontractor bids • Lead value engineering and design optioneering efforts • Partner with engineering, procurement, and construction leaders on cost, constructability, schedule, and risk • Manage risks related to long-lead equipment, supply chain constraints, labor availability, and market escalation • Account for regional cost variability across U.S. markets • Support estimating for utility tie-ins, substations, and campus-wide electrical distribution • Contribute to standardized data center designs and repeatable delivery models • Ensure estimates align with codes, safety standards, sustainability, and energy-efficiency requirements • Prepare estimating deliverables and present findings to stakeholders • Participate in cost reviews, procurement discussions, funding approvals, and commercial strategy sessions • Assess electrical scope changes and cost impacts throughout design and construction • Provide estimating handover materials to construction teams • Mentor junior estimators and contribute to estimating best practices • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience • 7+ years of experience in electrical estimating • Experience with data center, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred • Canadian data center experience preferred • Advanced technical knowledge of power distribution systems, backup generation, UPS systems, electrical codes, and labor productivity • Experience estimating high-density and hyperscale electrical systems highly desirable • Proficiency with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, Bluebeam, or similar estimating and takeoff tools • Strong familiarity interpreting BIM-based information • Strong analytical and communication skills • Ability to articulate cost drivers, assumptions, and risks clearly • Ability to operate independently and provide leadership in a collaborative, multidisciplinary project environment • Must be physically based in the United States • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
