• Serve as the technical authority defining how EV clients’ physical infrastructure is built, maintained, and scaled globally • Write, review, and continuously refine technical specification sections across Divisions 01 through 48 • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineers to align specifications with architectural materials and spatial requirements • Audit design standards, identify missing specification sections, and develop new standards • Research and vet products, finishes, and equipment against durability, cost, sustainability targets, and building codes • Create checklists and review tools for evaluating Architect of Record construction document submittals • Own and curate the MasterSpec/SpecLink cloud database • Incorporate construction and operations lessons learned into master specifications • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities
• 5–8+ years in technical specifications writing, architectural production, or A/E contract documents delivery (or equivalent technical expertise) • Ability to draft and edit architectural and engineering (MEP/Structural) specifications • Understanding of CSI MasterFormat, UniFormat, and SectionFormat • Proficiency with BSD SpecLink or MasterSpec • Experience evaluating material data sheets, ASTM, ANSI, UL testing standards, and IBC, NFPA, ADA building codes • Strong technical writing and editing skills • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training/experience • Preferred: CCS, CDT, or CCCA credentials • Preferred: Active membership in SCIP or similar organizations • Preferred: Experience with large-scale rollout programs, industrial spaces, R&D labs, EV charging infrastructure, or technical prototyping facilities • Preferred: Familiarity with Revit model metadata and BIM-to-Spec workflows • Preferred: Familiarity with LEED, WELL, and green material specifications
