đź“‹ Description
• Support and report to assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director • Interact frequently with the Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors • Assist Project Manager(s) in managing, coordinating, and administering projects through all design and construction phases • Provide electrical and mechanical system design leadership, including technical guidance on concurrently maintainable systems • Prepare reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout documents, and client presentations • Maintain project information in project management software • Coordinate project-team meetings • Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction • Maintain MEP design standards, basis of design updates, prototype designs, template specifications, and OFCI equipment specifications • Review and inform design RFPs and develop MEP engineering-service scopes • Manage external design consultants through design and construction • Ensure MEP contract documents are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to company standards • Communicate design standards to engineering, operations, and other project partners • Provide strategic technical leadership across multiple fast-paced electrical and mechanical design projects • Develop innovative solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality, reliability, or energy efficiency • Support procurement through vendor submittal reviews, factory witness testing, and OFCI equipment evaluation • Identify and implement technologies improving energy efficiency, system resilience, and cost-effectiveness • Apply industry advancements and best practices to improve operations and project outcomes • Communicate and enforce engineering and design policies • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities
🎯 Requirements
• College degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Architecture, Construction Management, or related field • Experience in project management on large-scale construction programs, including data centre or mission-critical facilities • Experience in MEP design, electrical and mechanical systems, and engineering leadership • Working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite • Experience overseeing preparation and approval of MEP contract documents from third-party design consultants • Strong understanding of concurrently maintainable electrical power systems, mechanical cooling systems, and OFCI equipment specifications • Excellent presentation skills and effectiveness in client-facing roles • Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, operations, procurement, and project management teams
