📋 Description

• Handle files and develop case strategy • Manage discovery and take depositions • Work with experts and communicate with clients and carriers • Handle motion practice and prepare matters for trial • Independently manage court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials • Develop compelling case strategies and drive results • Independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial • Collaborate with attorneys and staff at all experience levels • Maintain consistent and professional client communication • Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients • Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys • Work on civil defense matters in state and federal courts across general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, construction defect, product liability, and auto/commercial transportation

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years of recent insurance defense experience • Active Pennsylvania Bar license required • Pennsylvania and New Jersey dual admission strongly preferred • Prior billing experience • Ability to independently handle and move files forward • Strong written, analytical, and communication skills • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school • Active bar license in the state of Pennsylvania • 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation • Ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial • Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Self-motivation with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities • Professional appearance and demeanor • Responsiveness, curiosity, and commitment to high-quality work
