📋 Description

• Drive product innovation by building new creative products and updating existing products • Research and develop insights on key trends, regulatory changes, and market needs • Assist in developing and implementing multi-year strategic plans for profitable product-line growth • Analyze and monitor results to ensure alignment with UFG objectives • Evaluate coverages for product improvement, competitive advantages, court cases, legislative actions, and State Insurance Department requirements • Collaborate with the Product Supervisor and other UFG departments on strategic product roadmaps • Maintain current systems and coverages and assist in developing new products • Review competitor market intelligence, bureau programs, ISO, AAIS, and/or NCCI circulars • Build relationships with internal and external partners to complete projects • Serve as a subject matter expert on coverage questions for underwriting, training, claims, pricing, and compliance • Draft new coverage forms and changes to existing forms • Contribute to proactive product reviews and recommend product improvements • Prepare filing documents and guide filing analysts • Mentor and train new Product Analysts and create/update training documentation • Communicate product decisions and recommendations clearly and accurately • Articulate requirements for system application-related product changes

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred in business administration, finance, insurance, risk management or equivalent field • Equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field accepted • Industry designation(s) such as AINS, AU, or CPCU preferred, or actively pursuing recognized insurance designations • 3+ years of related property and casualty insurance work experience • Prior experience in product development, forms development and/or underwriting background strongly preferred • Familiarity and comfort with ISO, AAIS, NCCI and other bureaus • Familiarity and comfort with market and competitive research tools • Ability to self-manage workload, stay organized, and create priorities to achieve goals set with supervisor • Clear understanding of departmental and enterprise processes • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, SERFF, AM Best, ACL, Guidewire, Smart Communications, Tableau, JIRA, Confluence, and Miro • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment • General office conditions; constant computer and phone usage for up to 8 hours per day
