• Manage billing and collection of accounts with patient balances due to self-pay or insurance processing • Stay current on Medical Debt Collection policies • Review weekly billing to patients and work reports generated from patient billing • Follow collection protocol for past due balances and send texts and calls as appropriate • Manage calls from patients with past due balances and accurately note accounts • Participate in revenue cycle meetings and process improvement initiatives • Identify and resolve billing complaints and answer questions from staff, patients and insurance companies
• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in medical office • Experience with practice management systems and EHR platforms
