• Teach online in the Homeland Security, Intelligence, and Emergency Management programs. • Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed. • Guide students in collaboration and application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations. • Provide rich feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for assessment of student work. • Demonstrate relevant subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across the program.
• Master’s degree in Homeland Security, National Security, Intelligence, Emergency Management, Public Safety or Criminal Justice, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning. • Professional experience in homeland security and emergency preparedness including various areas such as strategy development and disaster recovery management. • Knowledge of emergency management principles, NIMS, FEMA CPG, and HSEEP. • Experience in disaster, crisis response planning, EAP, and EOP. • Experience teaching adult learners online is strongly preferred. • Terminal Degree in Homeland Security or a related field is preferred. • Ten years of professional managerial, operations, and/or staff experience in a related field preferred.
